5 Hindi Writers and Their Novels that you Must Read!
Hindi! One of the Official language of India that somewhere becomes secondary with societies pressure of speaking English. It is understandable why English has become a priority in our life but it is essential that one does not forget his roots.
Though we all might not connect with the value that this language holds, these writers and their Hindi Books remind us of the beauty of this Language.
Premchand:
Also known as the Timeless Munshiji, Premchand was one of those writers who changed the course of Hindi literature. He loved the society and was a patriot by heart. It was evident in his book that the love and care he had for the society. Female protagonist took the center stage in his books and the audience would connect with the storytelling instantly. His books Kaphan and Nirmala are one of his best works which you should definitely read.

Suryakant Tripathi:
Also known by his pen-name Nirala was another famous writer this country was blessed with. Nirala was not familiar with the Hindi language and it was his Marriage that changed his life. His wife insisted him to learn the language and he soon became a poet. He used to write strongly against the injustice and exploitation of the society. His books, AlkaApsara and Tulsidaas are a masterpiece that one should not miss to read.

Bhisham Sahni
Bhisham Sahni was a writer/actor who also had his fair share in politics during the freedom struggle. He has written many books but there is one that stands out and that is Tamas. A book based on the communal riots in India during the time of 1947 partition that Bhisham Sahni himself witnessed. The book explored the darker side of the partition and is very painful to read. The book is still famous years after its release.

Rahul Sankrityayan
A famous Hindi novelist who was one of the most traveled scholars of India and was also known as The Father of Hindi travelogue. He penned down his experiences from the travels that he went on to. His books Himachal and Volga Se Ganga are widely appreciated. Stories from his books often made to educational books for students.

Mahadevi Verma
A freedom fighter and also a poet, Mahadevi Verma was widely regarded as Modern Meera for being a major poet in Chhayavaad, a movement in romanticizing modern poetry in India. She has written a total of 31 books and Meri parivar and Gillu being the most famous ones which are a must read.
