First of all happy to see the huge public in the theatres after a long time.. Coming to the Movie..

"A So so comedy drama with a bad Story telling" 1st half is ok.. 2nd half is bad.. The duration of the Movie is 2 hours..1st half an hour is boring.. Then the Movie picked up.. 2nd half an hour is good.. Comedy worked out in that half an hour.. So we will feel that first half is okay..I expected the interval twist.. But it is good.. 2nd half is boring..I didn't connect to single scene in 2nd half..Actually the basic point itself is weak..Aa Slokaalu ento, Aa rules ento?? Aa Philosophy ento?? Vallake Ardham avvali.. This Script has no Minimum Script values also.. There is no exciting elements at all..Swayamvaram lo, Manmadhudu lo Hero Pelli gurinchi ladies gurinchi cheptunte Navvu aapukolemu.. Ikkada Hero cheptunte Bore kottestadi..Rao Ramesh scenes are good..Rao Ramesh telling about ladies in the first half is the highlight of the Movie.. Cinema lo Edina emotional scene undi ante Aa okka scene ye..

Story is weak.. Screenplay is boring..Dialogues are ok..liked the dialogues "Manam chese Pani ni Manam enjoy cheyali kani, Adi Manalni Enjoy cheyakudadu" "Appudappudu Mana Kanneellu tudavataniki Rendu Chethulu Saripovu" "Gaayapadda Simham swaasa" "Dandupalyam batch" "Nenu vesina Vittanam Intha Pedda Marri chettu avutundi ani assalu expect cheyaledu" "Varamichina Ventane Shaapam ichinattundi"

Photography is ok.. Hero shadow shot is good(Hero will be beside the bike). Lighting in that shot is good..Costumes are ok.. Actually first half Costumes are good..2nd half are So so..Art Direction is ok.. Some properties are good..Editing is ok..2 songs are okay.. Remaining songs are not upto the mark..Background score is ok..2nd half Rao Ramesh scene, Climax fight scene both scenes background score is good..2nd half Ajay fight concept is very artificial, I didn't connect to it..Direction is so so.. He should have taken more care on the Script.. Production values are good..Anni icharu But Proper Script ni select chesukoledu..And one more thing there is no proper lip synch for the dialogues..Dubbing lip synch correct ga ledu konni scenes lo..

Sai dharam Tej is good..He has become somewhat Chubby in this Movie but baavunnadu..But he should select a Proper Script.. Raasi raasi Naaku kuda bore kottesindi.. After Pilla Nuvvu leni Jeevitham he didn't select a Proper Script till today.. Madya lo Supreme, Subramanyam for sale kuda just Chaltha Movies anthe..He should take Care of Scripts.. ONLY SCRIPTS.. Nabha natesh is okay.. She has a limited role only.. Satya and Vennela Kishore comedy is good.. Satya comedy shaking his head with a background song is good..

1st half & 2nd half entire film is So so.. Actually this is a well known Story to everyone based on Amrutha, Pranay and Maruthirao...Inspite of that also there is no bore feel in the Movie.. The main thing Which I liked in the Movie is Direction..Shot Composition is good.. He tried for something different Shot composition.. One of the BEST Direction in Low budget Movies I have seen recently..But the thing is, he can't change the Story because it is based on Realistic Story..Some emotional elements are good..But watching this as a Movie is somewhat a difficult task..It resembles SAAIRAT in many aspects.. Actually Love track ki ekkuva importance ichi unte, Audience ki Chudataniki interest undedi.. First half antha Love Story tho Cheppi undalsindi.. There is no change over at all..

They have done some changes wantedly..As it is ga undakudadu ani change chesinattu..

Story is Known..Screenplay is ok..Dialogues are So so..Liked the dialogue "Nenu chese Ee Murder, Naa Kooturu meeda Naaku Entha Prema undo Cheppataniki".. Photography is okay.. 

Liked Some shot compositions..Costumes are Natural..Art Direction is So so.. Almost Movie is in Single location only..Only one song I think.. Background score is good.. Some scenes have been told with background score only..In some scenes BGM reminded Raktha Charitra..Direction is good..Done in a very limited budget..I think oka 40 lakhs lo ne chesesi untaru..Casting is Super.. As it is ga dinchesadu..Srikanth ayyengar Career's Best performance.. I think that girl name is Sahithi.. She is good.. The guy is also ok..Gayatri bhargavi is also ok..Remaining artists are ok..

Actually I am a fan of his Produced Movies..

This Movie got Craze in Social Media because of the adult Content only.. The teasers, trailers and posters which they have released are targeted to Some audiences, and they have succeeded in it..

Coming to the Movie, Heroine introduction scene is same as of RAKSHASUDU Hero introduction scene..

 I was waiting for the climax, Because for the last few days the celebrities who watched this Movie praised the climax like anything in twitter.. They have mentioned the Climax as "Never before etc.." I am not commenting, Nenu ayithe Excite avvaledu..Climax is also So so but Compared to the remaining portion of the Movie it is somewhat better..

Cinema chustunnantha Sepu Imran Hashmi Movie chustunnanu ane feeling ye Vachindi..A simple point based on Extra marital affair, tried to tell like Adult kind of Story telling.. There is no interest in the drive.. Photography & Art Direction tappa Cinema lo Nenu Inka deeniki connect avvaledu.. Of course Artistes performance is also good..

Story is Simple.. Screenplay is boring..This is not a dialogue Oriented Movie..But liked the situational dialogue "Life antha black and white tho ne Saripoyindi, Undanivvandi Ee colors"

Photography is good.. Aa budget ki Super..Some lighting schemes are good..Art Direction is good..Some Locations are good.. And a special mention to a photo frame of Gods in Hero House..Aa photo frame maatram Super..Editing is ok.. Only one song.. Background score is ok..Costumes are So so..Done in a limited budget..Direction is ok..He should have chosen a Property Script..

Hero & Heroine both are good.. There performances are good..Ruhani sharma is also good.. Remaining characters are also ok..I can say the total Casting is good..

The main reason for watching the Movie is Title & trailer..I thought it will be Mind game drama.Actually the flashback episode and interval bit is Somewhat Okay.. Remaining portion of the Movie is boring..First 30 min of the Movie is boring..After that somewhat it picked up,Then again dropped..

Actually the basic plot of RUN RAJA RUN and this Movie are same.(I am not saying copy)..In that Movie  Story telling will be in simplified & intresting manner..Here it is Missing..The point which he took in the flashback may be new point(New terminology regarding loans).But Majority of audiences can't connect to it..

Story is So so.. Screenplay should have been better.. It should have been in a simplified manner.. Dialogues are good..Liked the dialogues

First of all Personally I can't comment on the Movie..Because I didn't understand the Movie.. I tried alot but I didn't understand... May be My fault... But I can say very confidently 95% of the people can't understand the Movie. 

Because there are lot of complications in the Script.. Cheppanu ga Naaku Aa range talent ledu..But Technical values are Mind blowing..

I can't comment on Story & Screenplay.. Majority of audiences will not connect..(Christopher Nolan gurinchi maatlade scene Naaku ledu.I am not commenting, This is My personal opinion)..

Photography is Super.. Some shots are Mind blowing..Background score is Super.. Some action sequences are Super..The car chase with car in reverse Direction is Super..Editing is good..A special mention to Sound effects and sound Mixing.. Recent times lo Nenu chusina Best Sound effects..Sound mixing kuda Chimpesadu..Costumes are ok.. Art Direction is Super..Direction is good.. 1st half is ok.. 2nd half is some what weak..Actually the Pre interval 20 min of the film is interesting.. Aa 20 min Chusi, Ikkada nundi Cinema ni inka Next level ki teesukuveltademo anukunnanu. But he didn't do that.. Actually there are no ups in the Script..There are no Exciting elements..Almost Cinema mottam oke graph lo veltu untundi.Ala vellinappudu Audience excite avvaru..Cinema mottam Bombay chutney, Bombay chutney tho ne gadipesadu.. Actually there is a conflict, but how Hero comes out of it is not that much interesting..2nd half should have been better..The point is very simple.. Love scenes should have been better..There is a Scope for Love scenes but they didn't use it..Hero friend and Divya darshini Love track is good.. It is simple and interesting.. Hero Heroine Love track kante kuda ade baavundi..But there is no bore feel..Time waste ane feeling raaledu.. Just konchem Time pass..Actually I felt some Similarities of PELLI CHOOPULU.. (Akkada food truck, Ikkada hotel. Hero & father relation etc..) Actually Director should have gone for a commercial presentation in 2nd half..He Didn't go for that..

Story is simple..Screenplay should have been better..Story telling should have been intresting..Dialogues are So so..Unwanted Cuss words are there..Liked the dialogues "Nenu Puttina date nachaledanta" "Cheepiri katta tiragesi kodatha". Photography is ok.. He did in a simple manner..Editing is ok.. Guntur song is good.. That song lyrics are good..A special mention to the background score.. Really background score is Superb..it is in Next level.. Assalu emi leni Scenes ni kuda background score tho elevate chesadu..Assalu konni scenes background score lekapothe nothing..Background score is the Saviour for Majority portion of the Movie..Costumes are Natural.. Art Direction is so so..Direction is ok..Done in a limited budget.. Anand Devarakonda is So so..He is ok..        And Another Main reason which I showed interest to watch this Movie is ATLEE.. He is the Producer of this Movie.. Oka Director, Adi kuda Mana age group person Produce Chestunnadu ante,I expected alot..

Coming to this Movie..

if you want to watch this film You need Lot of Patience.. Patience ante Alaanti ilaanti Patience kadu..I took 5 breaks and 4 hours Time to complete this Movie..(Theatre lo ayithe lechi vellipotaru)..

In this Movie Confusion dominated everything.. He thought that he is holding the Suspense, but the thing is, it is very confusing and solving the puzzle kind of thing..Mystery confusion dominated the What next element..Another biggest biggest Minus is the duration..Nearly 2 hours 51 min(Nearly 3 hours)..If you wait for 2 and half hours then You will know the reason.. But you should be able to sit for 2 & half hours..Appati varaku interest ga unna parledu,but there is no interest at all..Director followed Parrellel narration Screenplay technique.. Here I want to mention one Movie Name MADHA..which was released in March,which got more than 25 awards,but it was a disaster..That Movie & this Movie has many 

Similarities..The same mistake has been done by the both Directors..Same Story telling..Two persons destinations are different, but paths are same..

Story is So so..Screenplay should have been in a simplified manner..This is not a dialogue oriented Movie..Photography is Extraordinary.. I think one of the Best Photography of this Year..Photography maatram Chimpesadu..Naaku telsi Ee year lo Ee Cinema kante better Photography ayithe chudaledu anukunta..I thought I have given My 4 hours Time for Photography only..Costumes are Natural.. Art Direction is good..Editing is okay..But duration wise it is very bad..Ide Script ni crisp ga 2 hours lo cheppochu, Cheppali..Background score is good..A very special mention to Sound Mixing.. It is really good and it is in Next level..Direction is good.. He has good command in Making.. Oka Manchi Script ki Ee Photography, Making padithe inka Next level anthe..Production values are good..Both Heroes are good. I don't know the names..Pooja Ramachandran is good.. Except her there is no familiar face for our Telugu audience..The guy who did as Psychiatrist is also good..

1st half & 2nd half entire film is very Artificial.. Artificial ani enduku annanu ante, Not even a single scene is in Convincing manner(for Me personally).. Recently In this Lockdown period, I have seen a Movie OH MY KADAVULE,(Which I mentioned in My review its A MUST WATCH) which is a same kind of genre and a Master piece of Story telling.. OH MY GOD & PK these are all of same genres.. But I connected to that Movies alot,Because Screenplay will be in next level in that Movies.. They will be in a convincable way.. Here it is completely Missing..The Story telling is very artificial..Family back Story is boring.. Tamil audiences may enjoy it. But not Telugu audience..There is no Screenplay interest..There is no WHAT NEXT Element..Devatha vachi idantha chestundi ante, I didn't connect..

Story is So so.. Screenplay is uninteresting.. This is not a dialogue oriented Movie..Climax Nayanatara dialogues are good..Photography is okay..Costumes are So so..Art Direction is so so..Editing is so so..Songs are So so.. Background score is good.. Direction is ok.. They went for Commercial presentation..Nayanatara is good as Goddess.. RJ Balaji is good..His performance is good.. These are the 2 people who brought Craze for this Project.. As RJ Balaji is from Media background, he is very active in publicity. The way he promoted the Movie is Super.. Urvashi is good.. The girls who did as Sisters are ok.. Ajay ghosh is ok.. Remaining artists are ok..

I am not Commenting, Ee Cinema lu theatre lo vesthe Share lu kuda raavu..

Flashback lo flashback la open chesadu Movie ni.. Direct ga Hero meeda open chesi, Tanikella bharani ki narrate chestunnattu open cheyalsindi.. The flashback narration style reminds us Ala Modalaindi & Geetha Govindam..

The basic Story idea is simple and good..But the Conflict and solving that problem should have been better..Actually first half Love scenes and play should have been better..Actually the way of Hero narrating the flashback is good..

Costumes are good.. Art Direction is ok..Direction is ok.. There are many wrong looks & suggestions.. Done in a limited budget..Sidhu is ok..His performance is ok..But his Script selection is very limited to some sector of audiences only.. Urgent ga Athanu Script selection maarchukovali.. Majority of audience ki connect ayyela chusukovali..Special mention for his Editing.He is also one of the Editor for this Movie..Seerat is ok.. Actually her hair style is her biggest plus.. But Ee Cinema lo Aa hair style ye maarchesaru.. Tanikella bharani is ok.. Remaining artists are ok..

Actually the first 30 min of the film is little bit slow..Trailer tho Magic chesi book chesesara enti Anukunnanu..Ayyo Hit Miss Ayipoyinda enti chala feel ayyanu..Exactly 31st min nundi Movie picked up drastically..it is Superb..The Writing is Superb..She has taken Some Cinematic liberties, but they are good..Cinematic liberties teesukokapothe Majority of audiences ki connect avvalemu.. Story telling is Superb.. Perfect graph lo undi Cinema..I think nearly 3 times I clapped while I was watching the Movie..Aa scenes theatre lo chusthe Mamulga undadu response..

This Movie inspires Young blood..

"A So so Horror drama which Missed the Original emotion"

Except flashback content 1st half and 2nd half entire film is boring..When Akshay kumar is doing this Movie, I thought he is doing the flashback Sharat kumar character..Actually I thought he has chosen this film only for that Character..I thought he played a dual role both Sharat kumar & Lawrance characters..But biggest disappointment for Me is,Akshay not playing the role of LAXMII..I was into disconnect mode..Actually the guy who played that role did an okay job..But if Akshay did that character, Undoubtedly that would have been a saving factor for this Movie..Actually the Original film has a beautiful emotion..Here it is Missing.. KANCHANA is One of the Best Script Writing(talking about only flash back episode) in Indian Cinema..Director Shankar range point adi..Emotion worked out very well..flashback episode is the paying element..But here it is Missing..Some changes are good..But Some changes are forced..Comedy element didn't pay..The horror element is not at all effective..I still remember the night when I watched KANCHANA on first day..I couldn't sleep because of that horror element..(As I was some what scared of horror movies).. But here the horror element is in childish way..Chinna pillalu kuda bhayapadaru.. Correct dialogue is "Pakka ki velli Aadukomma" Ala undi horror element..

Story(Original) is good..Screenplay is not effective.. This is not a dialogue oriented Movie.. Photography is good.. Some lighting schemes are good..Songs are good..2 songs picturisation is good..Background score is ok in some parts, but not that much effective in some parts..Actually original version background score will be next level..(Aa Aa Aaa aaaa ane humming vasthe ne Theatre lo Whistles, Keka lu.. I think everyone remember that humming)..Editing is ok..Direction is ok in some parts but not effective in Horror scenes..Emotional content presentation is ok..Production values are ok.. Given a good budhet..

1st half is so so.. 2nd half is interesting..I think the interval bang is at 40th minute..I think they have trimmed it..first half an hour of the film is slow, Then it picked up.. The twists are good.. Story telling is good..The minus point is the content is Raw.. Majority of audiences may not connect.. There is no change over.. Konchem Commercial values add chesi unte, I mean change over majority of audiences connect ayye Vallu..

The basic plot is old.. For these type of Movies, Story telling should be very interesting.. Because The plot itself is predictable, And for the way he opened the Movie,Screenplay should be interesting..Here it is completely Missing..

There is no Screenplay interest at all..Lucky draw scene is good,I don't want to reveal the scene..The only scene which I liked..That scene is good..(Theatres lo Whistles scene adi maatram)..The narration is slow.. There are no Exciting elements..

Photography is Super.. It is the biggest plus for the Movie.. He tried to bring a different colour for the Movie..Costumes are good..Art Direction is good.. Majority portion of the Movie lo Camera work and Art Direction ye kanipinchayi..Shreya ghoshal song is good.. That song lyrics are also good.. Remaining songs are so so.. Background score is good..Editing is ok..Direction is ok.. I liked the symbolic shots of glass falling on the ground.. And filling the glass with Tea..And there are some wrong looks.. The very first shot of Heroine introduction is a Wrong look..(Common Man ki avasarledu, but mention chesanu)..

Production values are good.. This Director is Lucky, that he got a good budget from production house..There is a Strong Cast, Locations, budget, Technicians.. But There is no Proper Script which is more important than all these..They should have chosen a Proper Script..Keerthi Suresh is good.. But previous charm is missing in her face..Jagapathi babu is ok..Heroine friends are ok.. Naveen chandra and one more guy are so so..

   There are some movies in Hollywood that have attaiend a cult status. Owing to their excellent direction, cast and storylines. There success has been so inspiring that the makers decided to make sequels to the iconic originals. However, the sequel s failed to Stoke the intrested of the masses and didn't quite live up to thair expectations.

 Bambi 2.

 Bambi, released in 1942, was one of the most iconic animated drama movies from Disney's stable. It's sequel Bambi 2, released 64 years after the sequel, fell seriously short of the original. It was described by critics as being an  "Unremarkable sequel" having a "heart warming story line". 

The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian

Even though the movie opened to decent box office numbers, it didn’t quite live up to the hype and expectations that originated after the first movie in the series. The film was considered to be more entertaining but failed to find a deeper resonance.

'Fast & Furious 9' to jet Diesel, family in space

For now, let's just focus on the space travel 'cars' (I know, right!) that are getting featured in the ninth instalment of the film.

Lin has directed the third, fourth, fifth, sixth and ninth instalments of the franchise.

This film is slated for May 28 release, pushed from the planned early release this year, due to coronavirus keeping theater footfalls at an all-time low.

Sequel of 'Fast' spin-off 'Hobbs & Shaw' is being planned

Another F&F-related news is that the sequel of its spin-off, Hobbs & Shaw, is being planned.

The film starring Jason Statham and Dwayne Johnson had received positive reviews on an average.

Its script also had prominent A-listers such as Ryan Reynolds as CIA agent Victor Locke and Kevin Hart as Air Marshal Dinkley, who can shoulder the next outing, which is unconfirmed for now.

The story of one of India's biggest financial scams

Scam 1992 opens on a dramatic note -- a State Bank of India employee named Sharad Bellary (Sharib Hashmi), perpetually using a handkerchief to wipe off sweat from his face, arrives at The Times of India office in Mumbai in the early 90s to give a tip-off.

Then and there, began the story of exposure of biggest stock market scam known to this country.

From rags to riches and higher

The show then cuts to a decade before, when a young, struggling lower middle class man, handling odd jobs, had dreamed of making it big.

Harshad Mehta (Pratik Gandhi) had started small, as a jobber. But his dreams and vision were just too big for that.

The man soon became an ace stockbroker, popularly called the Bachchan of BSE (or the Bombay Stock Exchange).

A fall as spectacular as the rise

Harshad Mehta's fall was perhaps as spectacular as his unbelievable rise, if not more.

Accelerated by journalist Sucheta Dalal's (Shreya Dhanwanthary) investigative reporting, and investigations by probe agencies, Mehta was accused and found guilty of multiple financial crimes committed during that time.

But interestingly, there were higher powers that had a key role to play in the scam.

The show grabs your attention, and doesn't let go

Scam 1992 successfully recreates the world of Harshad Mehta - a world of dreams, money, power and lies.

It is immersive, and to a great extent, tempting as well.

The reason that makes you stick to the lengthy 10-hour narrative is the detailed and layered writing of the show. It falters here and there, but manages to keep you engaged.

But, it's marred by unnecessary length and jargon

Having said that, it is not one of those addictive shows that can start and finish over an all-nighter.

More often than not, the episodes feel long and become slightly tedious to watch.

That's not it, it is mired with unnecessary jargon. You can't watch it in one go, without having to Google search complex business terms every now and then.

From the way he walks to the way he talks, Gandhi gets under the skin of the man who created and sold dreams to India, and eventually snatched them away too.

All in all, Scam 1992 is a treat to watch.

It might ask for some patience, but its captivating storytelling, power-packed performances and the bizarrely true story behind it make it an experience that simply shouldn't be missed.

It is undeniably one of the best shows to come out of Indian web television this year.

Style Of Christopher Nolan

           In a nearly impossible filming technique and mind-boggling spectacle, more than 100 cameras surreally zoom out from Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s Arthur who tussles with dream-bad guys defying the laws that usually govern space, time and motion. That is a climax sequence from one of the most ambitious films of Christopher Nolan’s Inception where cities fold in on themselves like three-dimensional maps. 

           Nolan, a self-taught filmmaker and one of the most innovative storytellers and image-makers at work in movies today not only has unconventional handling of the script, characters but also cinematography utilized in the screenplay. The director flirts with two predominant themes, time travel and tangibility of memory.

Manipulation of Time

Time is not just a motif but a character in Nolan’s movies. In Interstellar, Nolan explored Einstein’s law of relativity and identified time as the film’s antagonist. Time is so central to its theme that the movie wouldn’t work if you ripped time dilation out of it. For example, a single hour on one planet is seven years at Earth. Even the music in the movie imitates a clock. Inception, on the other hand, takes time and compounds it multiple times. A character might spend years in their dream within dreams, but only a few hours pass in the real world.

Old school filming technique

 Nolan’s filmmaking technique can be called a combination of intuition and geometry. In a cinematic world where directors rely on special effects to blur the line between reality and fantasy, Nolan relies on hand-held cameras, natural settings, and real filming locations. The very material that warrants the medium of the film being called “film” has been largely cut out of the process but for Nolan, they exist, breathing, pulsating much like his characters and his themes!

Subjective reality

 Nolan has an intriguing way to play with the concept of realism. In Inception, the characters create totems that determine if they are in reality or a dream.

Objective reality, a singular perspective, is not something Nolan wants his viewers to take back with them. This is one reason why his narrators are often unreliable. Therefore, it depends entirely on Leonardi DiCaprio’s Cobb to decide if he wants to stay in his dream with his wife or go back to reality for his kids. Nolan doesn’t answer attempts to dictate the audience consciousness of reality. On the contrary, he questions to the audience, “what is your reality?” He considers his audience intelligent and opens up a forum for discussion with changing perspectives.

Shah Rukh Khan is finally back in the Shooting..

SRK Join shooting for 'Pathan' in November

After a long hiatus of two years, Shah Rukh Khan is finally back in the game.

He is gearing up for his next film titled Pathan, the shoot of which will begin by the end of November.

This is perhaps the longest break King Khan has taken between two releases, ever since he debuted with Deewana in 1992.

The film is a high-octane action thriller

Helmed by War director Siddharth Anand and bankrolled by Yash Raj Films, Pathan is touted to be a stylish action thriller.

SRK, who is currently in the UAE cheering for his cricket team Kolkata Knight Riders in the ongoing IPL 2020, is often seen sporting long hair and a light beard. That, reportedly, is the superstar's look for the movie.

It also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham

A source told Mid-Day that the first schedule -- a two-month-long affair -- will focus solely on SRK's portions. After that, the team will take a New Year's break.

Deepika Padukone and John Abraham (who plays the antagonist), will join the second schedule that is slated for January 2021.

The film will feature dramatic action scenes featuring SRK and John, the source further informed.

Shaleena Nathani to do the styling for 'Pathan'

"Shah Rukh will sport a stylish look with outfits curated by stylist Shaleena Nathani. Like Raees (2017 movie) where he was seen wearing spectacles, this film will have him flaunting customized sunglasses," the source added.

A film with Rajkumar Hirani is coming too

SRK also reportedly has a Rajkumar Hirani movie in the pipeline.

As per reports, the film has been written by Hirani along with Kanika Dhillon and Abhijat Joshi. It will be shot across locations in Punjab and Canada.

For the unversed, King Khan was last seen in Zero (2018), also starring Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif. However, the movie tanked at the box office.

He will also be seen in two interesting cameos

Meanwhile, SRK shot two interesting cameos during his self-imposed sabbatical.

He will be seen playing a journalist who interviews scientist Nambi Narayanan in R Madhavan's upcoming biopic Rocketry: The Nambi Effect.

And in Ayan Mukerji's ambitious superhero movie Brahmastra, he will essay the role of a scientist who appears at the film's beginning and introduces the audiences to the fantasy world.

Japanese cinema would have never reached the heights it has achieved today without a master filmmaker like Akira Kurosawa (1910-98).

Drunken Angel (1948)

This post-war drama, made during the American occupation of Japan, and marked the first in a long series of collaborations between Kurosawa and the actor Toshiro Mifune. Here Mifune plays a gangster who contracts tuberculosis and develops a bond with the hard-drinking doctor who diagnosed him.

Rashomon (1950)

Rashomon is the film that marked the beginning of Kurosawa’s international fame, as well as serving as an introduction to Japanese film for a foreign audience after it won the Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival and an honorary Oscar in 1951 and 1952 respectively. The plot revolves around four characters giving different accounts of the same occurrence, leading the audience to question the nature of truth, motivation, interpretation and recollection.

Ikiru (1952)

The main character of Ikiru (which means ‘to live’), played by Takashi Shimura, is a terminally ill bureaucrat who attempts to find a meaning and purpose to life before he passes away. It is very loosely inspired by Tolstoy’sThe Death of Ivan Ilyich.

Seven Samurai (1954)

The film is about a village under attack from a group of bandits. The villagers decide to hire seven wandering samurai to defeat the thugs before they can steal their crops. With a running time of over 200 minutes, Kurosawa’s first samurai film is a quintessential action film, and that influenced Japanese cinema and Hollywood.

Throne of Blood (1957)

In Kurosawa’s version of Shakespeare’s Macbeth, the chief is introduced to the audience as living in feudal Japan. It is best remembered for the striking scene in which Mifune’s character, Macbeth’s equivalent, meets his death in a hail of arrows.

The Hidden Fortress (1958)

The story stars two humorous bumbling peasants who find themselves caught up in a major conflict involving a princess and rival warring factions, which makes you think of how R2-D2 and C-3PO got unwittingly mixed up in an epic battle between good and evil.

High and Low (1963)

DDLJ will be released in theaters across Spain on October 30.

It will be the first Bollywood movie to be released in the country as cinema halls reopen after six months there.

"Yash Raj wants to release DDLJ again on its 25th anniversary in Europe. Cinema halls are open here with 50% occupancy," Jethi told Koimoi, adding that people's response has been great.

Cinemas are now open in India too

On a related note, cinema halls in several states across India have also restarted operations after a closure of nearly seven months.

Ishaan Khatter and Ananya Panday-starrer comedy-drama movie Khaali Peeli is currently out in theaters.
