The latest movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is 'Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness'.
This is the 28th film in this universe. The film was directed by Sam Raimi, the director of the Spider-Man films that came out between 2004 and 2007. Spider-Man: The movie opens with a multiverse concept that impresses everyone in the movie No Way Home, showing different versions of the same character in the teaser and trailers. And did the film live up to those expectations?
Story: American Chavez (Sochi Gomez) has the power to travel from one universe to another. But do not know how to control it. Someone unknown is trying to possess that power. Reaches Earth in another universe. There Dr. Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) saves himself. After learning the whole story of America Chavez it seems that defending himself is not as easy as he thought. Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) seeks help. Who wants to own the power of the original American Chavez? Did Dr. Strange interrupt himself? Is the rest of the story.
Analysis: The general audience as well as the fans expect that a movie from the Marvel Universe will not disappoint. Because before Multiverse of Madness, if there were a total of 27 movies in this universe ... only Black Widow and Eternal movies were average. Everything else is a blockbuster. For almost 15 years, Marvel has been making films with a single story line, gaining success and gaining a fan base in many countries around the world. Now this 'Doctor Strange in the Multiverses of Madness' is not disappointing unless Marvel is about to raise the bar even further.
In the movie Wanda Maximoff / Scarlet Witch with Dr. Strange, 'You broke the rules and became a hero. I did the same thing and became a villain. This is not fair at all. ' Says a dialogue. The whole story of this movie is in this dialogue. The whole story revolves around breaking some rules of the universe and the value paid for them. Even if the rules are violated ... he said in a very frightening way that if you do it for good you will become a hero and if you do it for selfishness you will become a villain.
Violence and horror are a bit more in this movie than in all the Marvel movies. The Doctor Strange version, which comes especially in the climax scenes, is even more terrifying. It features the new Captain Marvel and introduces characters such as the X-Men and Fantastic Four. The action scenes, however, are the next level. Director Sam Raimi has previously directed the 'Evil Dead' series, one of the most famous horror films, along with the Spider-Man films. That experience made the film even more useful.
This is the first time I have tried a horror movie in a superhero movie. For Wanda, the scenes between her and her children are emotional. It also introduces the emotional depth of Dr. Strange's character. Upcoming movies are likely to focus more on this. The movie graph is a bit minuscule as it is a bit scattered here and there. The visuals and graphics in the film are also excellent. It's a story about planets in different universes. So the earth in each universe is shown separately. It gives a new kind of feeling. Music provided by Danny Elfman elevates the scenes.
As for the cast ... this is not the first time Benedict Cumberbatch has played the role of Dr. Strange. He also starred in 2016's Dr. Strange, Thor: Ragnarok, Avengers: Infinity War, Endgame, Spider-Man: No Way Home. The film also shows different versions of himself, the emotional side. It's a little new. The Evil Strange version in particular is frightening.
Elizabeth Olsen, who plays Wanda Maximoff / Scarlet Witch, is more important than Dr. Strange in the film. The depth of his character in the film, after watching his performance, shows that Wanda was just a teaser in the Vision series. He has shown himself to be the most powerful being in all the universes. So that could be the key to the upcoming Marvel Universe movies. Sochi Gomez, who played America Chavez, did well in her role. Although the whole story revolves around him ... he has very little scope to act. The rest of the cast was impressed with their roles.
